BBO – Bridge Base Online App Reviews

Hate the ads on top, distracting, moving, please remove. Also automatically plays some hands, which I dont want. Liked old version better.

Since upgrading to latest release of IOS 8.0.2 the BBO application no longer works for me. When I try to connect I get: "connection failed please try again" have contacted BBO support and they have been unable to help me.

If you play bridge, or want to learn, get this app. Anonymous login lets you bid and play with 3 robots, and after every hand - instead of bidding next hand right away - show Results of previous hands for review and playback. You can also see how Other Tables bid and played the identical hand in duplicate competition with you. If you register, you can play for free with and against other real live players or sit and kibitz while watching them play. There is never an obligation to spend money, though you can choose to pay a nominal registration fee for real live world-wide tournaments, personalized tutoring in the Beginner and Intermediate Lounge (BIL) public club room, etc.

My primary issue with this App is that it does not include such key components as creating/revising your convention card and access to your BBO$ account. It is time to make this App a full replication of the BBO Site.

App was good but after latest apple date cannot login

Ads on top are horribly distracting & annoying. I appreciate need for revenue but give an option to pay for app with no ads. Cant play with that banner constantly annoying me.

Ruined a great app with distracting ads.

The ad banner is very distracting. It might not be so bad if it didnt keep rolling, but it rolls and flashes and it is very annoying. Also the diminished size of the playing screen is a hindrance. I would gladly pay for an ad-free app. I may stop using this app if the ads continue.

Great app. Allows you to play for free with people from all over the world. However, they have added adverts, and they distract you and make it hard to play. There is no option to pay a dollar to get rid of them. Screen size is now smaller. Please do something about this. Thanks.

In a game where you have to look at the cards and each hand to concentrate, ads create a distraction that destroys the ability to focus and concentrate and think. The decision to include ads, especially those with movement, has severely limited the use of this app for me and significantly reduced its value.

The ads are making me crazy. Hard enough to concentrate without movement at the top of the screen. Thinking about deleting the ap - would rather pay for it than this!

Well, I guess another app to abandon because of ads. Its unusable now.

The ads make the ability to watch VuGraph impossible. Terrible idea!

Not fun to use with ads

Recently got this app. Played a few times. Ads dont bother me but cant figure out what conventions it uses. Ex. I bid 1NT partner answered 2 hearts. According to the system this was a cue bid. I assumed it was a transfer bid & partner had 5 hearts. Instead partner had 2 hearts. Never heard of a cue bid at this level of bidding.

I agree with other posts. Give us an ad free option. You have killed the ability to use this app. Not everyone can play on a laptop or desktop computer all the time.
